AGM 2025 Announcement
The AGM 2025 will be held on 20th February 2025 at the Chapel Street venue.
We encourage all members to attend, as it will be more than just an AGM.

10:25 – 11:15 a.m. – Guest Speaker: Donna Miles
We are privileged to welcome Donna Miles, an Iranian-Kiwi writer and columnist based in Christchurch. She has a keen interest in justice and human rights issues and works as a freelance journalist and regular columnist for the Christchurch Press.
Topic: “What the West Gets Wrong About Iran”
In this talk, Donna will explore a blend of media narratives, political tensions, and cultural misrepresentations that have shaped a skewed image of Iran. She will highlight the diverse people, rich history, and unexpected commonalities between Iran and the West.
11:15 a.m. – AGM Proceedings
Your committee is recommending awarding Life Membership to Pat and Peter Braithwaite for their exceptional service to our U3A.
Before you arrive, please read the Annual Report and Financial Statements for 2024, which are posted on our website. Many existing committee members and officers are retiring, so new nominations are needed to fill these roles.
